Are you:
Taking care of your children while also helping care for your parents and in-laws?
Seeing your parents/in-laws slow down and realize that soon you'll be needing to focus on their aging needs?
Trying to avoid the future by just not thinking about it?
Welcome to the Sandwich Generation!
Park Slope Parents is here to help with the next steps: Learning to care for two generations simultaneously - our children and our parents.
On November 5th, from 6:30PM - 8:30PM at The Old Stone House, Park Slope Parents and the Office of Council Member Brad Lander will be offering CAREGIVING 101, a free seminar given by Heights and Hills to help us navigate the intense and rewarding journey of caring for our aging parents.
Caregiving for an aging parent descends upon us in all sort of ways including a sudden crises or series of small but unsettling warning signs. Either way decisions have to be made and this seminar will help you to assess your situation and take the first steps.
Join Park Slope Parents and Heights & Hills illuminating (and calming) seminar. It's up to you whether you go in blind or have the tools to help!
The
workshop is FREE, but please register so we can plan accordingly.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (but space is limited) so pass on this message to others!. PLEASE RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
