This two-hour talk will prepare families for the NY High School Fair and tours in the fall. The DOE has many good programs and publications, but this talk is from the point of view of a parent who has been there and understands what you need to know and why. I describe the process quickly and clearly without the deadly powerpoint used elsewhere. This talk is designed for general-ed students. The parents of students with disabilities often find it useful to have this baseline, but there will be wrinkles to your search for which I do not have expertise. I will:
"...I was so impressed - I laughed, I cried :) - I left feeling not only informed but mentored and coached from one parent to another - I truly appreciate the work you do, the energy you do it with and the humor you bring to the table to keep us all sane." Tickets are $25.00/member and $30.00 for non-members. Sorry, there are no refunds. To register as a couple, your partner must be a Secondary Member. You can set up a secondary membership here: bit.ly/PSPSecondaryMembershipForm A portion of the proceeds goes to support The Old Stone House.
