Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness.
Danella Garcia Abrahams originally from Venezuela became a Zumba Instructor in 2009 and started teaching when she moved to New York city in 2010. She has taught at different gyms/ studios across the area. These included Equinox, YMCA (Armory and Prospect Park branches), Brooklyn Sports Club, Google, Harbor Fitness, Shape up NYC, Namaste, Latin fever studio, Spoke the hub Art Annex and elementary schools in Brooklyn. Her classes are fun and full of positive vibes. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in dance, is AFAA certified and is licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Sentao, Zumba kids & Kids Jr and Zumba toning.
