Join fellow PSP Moms and get some "New to You" Clothes! 
We heard your feedback: This swap will have more clothing racks & more mirrors! 

DETAILS:

• Before the swap, look through your closet and please bring:
  • Your most swappable work/business causal items
  • Anything you’d wear in person to an office job, out to a work lunch, or an on-camera call
  • If you wouldn’t give it to a finicky friend, don’t bring it to the swap 
  • Bring maternity clothes that are work-friendly; we have folks who are pregnant or between sizes
  • Please PRE-SORT clothes by size to make it easy for us to group sizes together.
  • Double-check for stains, rips and holes—if it’s something fixable, we can have a separate table for that. 
  • Feel awesome for making space in your closet!
• At the swap, please note:
  • We do not have a private changing area, so dress appropriately. Thin leggings/bike shorts and a tank top make it easy to try stuff on. Loose skirts make it easy to try on slacks. 
  • This is an adult-only event. It makes for a much nicer experience and you deserve some "me" time
  • This is what community and sustainability looks like! You're doing a great job.

FAQs

• How does it actually work? 
  • PSP Moms bring clothing and accessories to swap and put them on the tables
  • We start with a meet-and-greet and then get to swapping! We find that introducing ourselves, our jobs, and our fashion needs, helps folks pick out appropriate styles for each other! 
  • We ask that people try things on to make sure they fit (so you only take what really works for you)
  • Try to take no more than what you brought, take what you need, and share the wealth
  • It’s fun to find a “diamond in the rough,” so if you find more than one of something great, leave it for the next person
    
  • Reminder: Please wash all clothing and heat dry before wearing if you can

• What is being swapped? Business/Business Casual work-appropriate clothes (loosely defined) and Zoom-ready clothes!
  • Suits/Jackets
  • Dresses

  • Shirts/Blouses
  • Pants (including stretchy & cropped)
  • Jeans
  • Maternity work clothes
  • Nice coats and winter gear appropriate for work

• How much does it cost?
  • We ask for a $10.00 contribution; proceeds donated to the library
  • Sorry, there are no refunds. If there's a waitlist and you let us know 48 hours in advance and we fill your spot, we'll give you credit for future events!
    
  
  
• Who is invited? This event is open to anyone who identifies as a mom, whether you have a job, are looking for a job, or considering a return to the workforce.

• Can we bring kids?
  • Please, no. Having a clothing swap with kids just hasn’t worked in the past. It's hard to try on clothes if you're chasing toddlers or experiencing letdown with your baby hungry and crying. We also feel that there needs to be time away from our kids in order to recharge. If you have a friend or partner who can take charge of your child(ren), put yourself first for this short time. We recognize the challenges of single moms and want to be helpful. Let us know if you need to be connected to another mom; maybe you can partner with another mom to help with childcare. 
    
  
  
• What happens to the extras?
  • Anything left will be donated to a women’s career not-for-profit, Big Reuse, or Housing Works. If you have a great not-for-profit that needs the clothes and can pick up the clothes the day of the swap, please reach out.
