Navigating MS & HS Admissions: Choosing the Right Entrance Exam

Are you looking into middle school or high school applications? Wondering about the admissions tests that some public schools and private schools require? Join us for MS & HS Admissions Testing 101, on Thursday, March 5th at 7:00pm.

You will learn about the entire standardized testing process for middle and high school, both for independent schools, NYC's specialized high schools, and public middle schools with admissions tests like Mark Twain and Hunter. There will be plenty of time for Q&A. We will discuss:
  • The basics of standardized testing broadly
  • Specific differences amongst the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, Hunter, and Mark Twain tests
  • When to begin preparing and how to prepare
  • How standardized test scores fit into your school applications more broadly
  • Testing truths and myths, and common mistakes to avoid
Note: Myles and Emily will be talking about admissions testing for various schools, and will have time to address basic questions about the broader application process in Q&A. If you're looking for more information on the application process for specific middle or high schools, you can reach out to Dana Szarf of NYC School Help, or sign up for one of our webinars on the application process. Please email events@parkslopeparents.com for more information.
