Please join PSP and Dana from NYC School Help for Public 3K and Pre-K: Demystified. This is a famously confusing process, and it does not have to be.

You will get a clear-eyed translation of the DOE's timelines and procedures plus the insight of an educational consultant, experienced educator and Brooklyn mom. Here are the topics that Dana will cover:

How the match works and how to make a thoughtful application.
How the Pre-K process is the same and different from Kindergarten and what is important to know about Pre-K "strategy".
What to look for in a classroom.
The timeline and what Pre-K can mean for the future.
Different types of 3-K and Pre-K programs
Is 3-K really for all?

For parents of children with 2022 birthdays, this workshop will give you the final understanding of the Pre-K (2026-2027) application process. For parents of children with 2023 birthdays, you will get an overview of the 3K application process and what are the implications of choosing a particular program for this stage. Parents of children with 2024 and 2025 birthdays are more than welcome to attend-- you'll be getting a head start.

While Dana won't be talking about specific schools, the information will be pertinent no matter what district you live in.
