About this event

Patrick Radden Keefe's Say Nothing explores the complex history of The Troubles in Northern Ireland, using the 1972 disappearance of Jean McConville, a mother of ten, as a central narrative. Her case highlights the climate of fear and the long-held secrets of the conflict.

The book examines the lasting impact of the war on society and the individuals involved. It covers various perspectives, from dedicated I.R.A. members like Dolours Price to political figures like Gerry Adams. Say Nothing delves into the difficult transition to peace and how those involved reconciled their past actions, offering a compelling look at loyalty, conviction, and the enduring consequences of the conflict.
