Get your most spooktacular outfit ready for our Halloween Costume Showcase and Mini-Parade!
CRAFTS from 11:30 - 1:00pm
COSTUME SHOWCASE at 12pm… if you want to participate in the costume showcase, be ready at 11:45am in front of the Old Stone House.
It’s a casual event—we’ll call people to come forward for the different categories to show off their costumes! After the costume showcase we will have a sweet and informal mini-parade around the Park.
This event is free to attend and all are welcome.
Schedule:
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
-Halloween kids crafts and photos in J.J. Byrne Playground
-Starting at 11am, join Park Slope Parents and Old Stone House for Halloween themed crafts.
-Grab a photo opportunity in front of the House.
12:00 PM
-Costume Showcase and Mini-Parade around Washington Park!
-We'll divide into themed categories and everyone will have a moment to show off their look.
-Everyone who participates gets a ribbon. Plus lots of compliments and recognition on their outfit!
-After the showcase, we'll parade up 3rd street and through the playground!
Please note: The parade and festivities are expected to be over as early as 12:30. Get to the House before the parade passes by!

After the showcase all participants parade around Washington Park. Perfect for families with little-ones who can't make the late-night parade on 10/31.
All categories are strongly encouraged to DIY and use thrifted and recycled-materials! Big Reuse (by Lowe's in Gowanus) has lots of great clothes that can be repurposed for costumes.
