Parents of children ages 9-13, join us for a webinar to kick off the summer months: "Raising Confident Tweens: A Strength-Based Approach."
Parenting is hard work at any stage, but it becomes even more complicated when our children begin puberty. Tweens (children ages 9-13) start to explore who they are and simultaneously pull away from us. Further, much of their day-to-day experience focuses on what they need to change, rather than cultivating what makes them uniquely themselves.
This webinar introduces a different approach: strengths-based parenting. Grounded in Gallup research with nearly a million young people, this isn't about prescribing one ‘right way’ to parent. It's about gaining more clarity about what your child does well and helping them build on these strengths during these critical years.
When tweens understand what comes naturally, they develop genuine confidence and a clearer sense of identity. Emphasizing your children’s innate talents also makes your job as a parent a bit easier, especially when your child might not be as receptive to your advice. Overall, strengths-based parenting allows us to foster more positive and supportive environments for our children to learn and grow at their best.
As we transition to summer, this webinar provides valuable strategies just when you need them:
- Summer offers more unstructured time to observe and engage with your tween's natural talents instead of focusing on academic requirements
- The transition between school years offers an ideal moment to reset your approach and implement new parenting strategies before fall
- As summer activities begin, you can intentionally align family time with your tween's strengths, turning potential boredom into meaningful growth
In this webinar, we'll cover:
- What strengths-based parenting looks like — and how it challenges conventional advice
- Why it's easy to get stuck focusing on what needs "fixing" in our kids and how to shift that mindset
- Ways to leverage your natural talents to inform more positive interactions with your child
- How to recognize your tween’s unique strengths, even when they’re not obvious
- Strategies for creating organic opportunities to support and foster your child’s natural talents without pressure or stress!
You'll leave with clear, actionable takeaways you can start using immediately with your tween.
