The middle school application process can feel overwhelming, but don't worry—you’re not alone!
It’s a big step in your child’s future right when you're starting to think about all kinds of things, like friendships, growing up, and new interests. Dana is here to help make sense of it all, from understanding different options like district, borough-wide, city-wide, charter schools, and audition programs, to explaining how middle school is a whole new experience compared to elementary.
In this talk, Dana will walk you through the basics of the admissions process, timelines, and how to approach your decisions, along with some helpful advice for parents navigating this new chapter. Plus, she'll cover the recent middle school admissions updates from the DOE and how they might affect your choices. She focuses on the big picture rather than specific schools, so what she shares will be useful no matter where you live.
