Janet Raiffa is the Park Slope mama behind resumemama, a consultancy focused on providing resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, and interviewing assistance. On the corporate side, she spent 15+ years as a recruiter for banking, law, and consulting, including nine years hiring for Goldman Sachs in the US, Europe, and Asia. On the academic side, she has advised undergraduates, MBAs, and alumni at schools including Bucknell University, Columbia Business School, NYU-Stern, Wharton, and Yale School of Management. Beyond resume specialties in banking, law, and consulting, her other focus areas include Americanizing international resumes, working with career on-rampers and career switchers, and helping professionals in the arts adapt to corporate job searches. She prides herself on brutal candor, an obsession with action verbs, and making her clients look as good as they can on paper. Janet holds an MA degree in American Studies from Columbia University, and a BA in English Literature from Dartmouth College.
