Get your most spooktacular outfit ready for our Halloween Costume Contest and Mini-Parade!
CRAFTS from 12pm - 2pm...
Join us in the Park at 2pm for the Park Slope Parents/Old Stone House costume contest. It’s a casual event—we’ll call people to come forward for the different categories and judge costumes on the spot!
After the costume contest we will have a sweet and informal mini parade around the Park.
This event is free to attend and all are welcome.
Awards will be given in the categories of:
- Best use of Stroller/Wagon
- Scariest
- Best Group/Family/Ensemble
- Best Infant
- Best Pop Culture
- Best Classic Halloween
- Most Creative
- Best use of Recycled/Green Materials
After the contest all participants parade around Washington Park. Perfect for families with little-ones who can't make the late-night parade on 10/31.
Extra points given to cheap, DIY, creative, and recycled costumes.
Big Reuse (by Lowe's in Gowanus) has lots of great clothes that can be repurposed for costumes.
This event is free to attend and all are welcome.
