PSP Craft Supply Swap @ 10:30am

About this event

Swap, Swizzle, and Sparkle at the PSP Craft Supply Swap!

Feeling crafty but cluttered? Join us for a supply-swapping extravaganza! Bring your unused or unwanted crafting goodies to the Park Slope Library on Saturday, November 9th at 10:30 AM and trade them for something new and inspiring.

From yarn and ribbon to paint and popsicle sticks, we're accepting all sorts of crafting treasures. Let's clear out the clutter and make room for fresh ideas. While you're there, chat with other crafty folks, share your projects, and maybe even find a new obsession!

So, gather your supplies, dust off your creativity, and come ready to swap, swizzle, and sparkle!

We're asking for $10, proceeds to go to the Park Slope Library to thank them for hosting us so they can do more great programming!  Examples of your proceeds includes their current Ask A Scientist program!

NOTE: babies in carriers only; no kids.  Let this be a fun, adult event where you're focusing on your grown up crafting passions.

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday at the Park Slope Library at 10:30

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

*How does it work?*

Bring your craft supplies:
Gather unused or excess crafting materials like paints, yarn, fabric, beads, paper, tools, and more.

Sort your supplies: Organize your items by category to make it easier for others to browse. You'll put your own supplies on the different tables.

Intros:  We'll start with a meet-and-greet and then get to swapping! We find that introducing ourselves, our jobs, and our fashion needs, helps folks pick out appropriate styles for each other!

Swap and Explore:  Once intros are done you can find other people's treasures and try them on. We ask that people try things on to make sure they fit so you take what really works for you.  It's a bummer if people take great things that other people miss out on just to find it doesn't work for them later.

Take what you need: Feel free to take what you can use, but remember to be mindful and leave some for others.

Share the love: We'll take donations to a local school, but if you take something you end up not needing,  consider saving it for the next swap or giving it away for free on the PSP Classifieds.

What can I bring?
  • Paints (acrylic, watercolor, oil)
  • Yarn and knitting needles
  • Fabric scraps and sewing supplies
  • Beads and jewelry-making supplies
  • Paper and cardstock
  • Art and drawing supplies
  • Craft tools and equipment
  • Books about crafting
  • And more!

Who is invited? Anyone who loves crafting is welcome! Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, come and join the fun.

Can I bring kids? While we love kids, this event is best suited for adults. To ensure a smooth and focused swap, we kindly ask that you leave the kiddos at home. Exception-- babies in carries.

What happens to the extras? Any leftover supplies will be donated to local schools, Materials for the Arts, or other organizations who can use them.

Let's get creative and share the crafting joy!
