About this event
Sugar is delicious. However, sugar can also be a culprit behind many chronic diseases, and it sneaks its way into so many of the foods we eat every day. Navigating the world of nutritious eating for our kids can feel like a daunting task, especially with busy schedules and finicky eaters.
That's why the Brooklyn New School PTA is excited to invite you for a talk and Q&A with Dr. Michael Goran, the author of Sugarproof and Professor of Pediatrics at University of Southern California. He’ll cover how sugar impacts our growing kids' bodies and, more importantly, empower parents with practical steps to manage sugar consumption without the stress. ( such as the 7 day challenge in the bottom of this page)
His book Sugarproof offers a straightforward approach, helping parents to raise informed kids who can set their own healthy habits without feeling restricted.
