About this event

BKCM ushers in the Year of the Tiger with an outdoor Lunar New Year celebration for the whole family.

Celebrate the passing of a new lunar year with an afternoon of traditional and contemporary Chinese music, crafts, calligraphy and much more. Bring the family and enjoy a traditional Chinese celebration of the Year of the Tiger! This event will take place in-person at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s Garden.

To keep things as safe as possible, the event will be held outdoors in the BKCM Garden and on the block with masks required.

Please note that our event was previously scheduled for January 29, 2022, but we rescheduled the celebration in light of the winter storm. Unfortunately, our lion dancers are no longer able to join us. We are planning many wonderful new activities for next weekend’s event. More details to come!

To get the fun started, we have opened up our Lunar New Year raffle in advance of the event! You do not need to attend the event to purchase a ticket; should you win, we will mail you your prize. Tickets will also be sold in-person.

RSVP using the RSVP HERE button on the right. You will be asked to choose a time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm, or 4:00pm - 5:00pm. Though there is no cost for this event, donations will help BKCM continue to produce free events that celebrate the vibrancy of the community.

To ensure the safety of attendees, all activities will be held outdoors in the BKCM garden and on our surrounding block. In addition, all attendees will be required to wear masks.
