This workshop will help you learn everything you need to know (and more) about finding, hiring, and keeping the perfect live-out nanny. By the end of the night you'll feel more confident leaving your little one in the care of someone you trust, and you'll know how to start the employer/nanny relationship off right. Get solid advice about finding, interviewing, and hiring a nanny as well as the legal responsibilities of hiring a domestic worker. We will also talk about the sometimes emotional journey that comes with leaving your child in another person's care. The workshop will tackle the following issues: · What to expect in terms of pay, vacation, and responsibilities. · Where to look and find great candidates. · The interview process: screening candidates, reference checks, interviews, and trial days. · How to seal the deal with a work agreement. · How to make it a great relationship.

Dr. Susan Fox is the founder of Park Slope Parents, an online community of 6,500+ families in Brooklyn, NY.
