Coping with Covid, the Expectant Couple Experience
: The pandemic seems to have turned a corner in a positive way. However, for many people there are mental health issues that have arisen or returned. Being pregnant during this time may be more challenging.
Park Slope Parents and The Motherhood Center have teamed up to help you understand and cope with typical issues related to being an expectant parent as well as Covid-related issues.

Paige will help us try to put the following in perspective:
What expecting parents are feeling anxious about during this time.
How to recognize if feelings of anxiety and sadness are normal or require additional support and treatment.
How to effectively use this time to prepare for the arrival of your baby.
Skills and techniques to manage anxiety and stress and communicate more effectively as an expecting couple.
A few tips on Zoom Confidentiality:
1. If you wish, you can change your name in your Zoom Profile to protect your identity.
2. This Zoom Meeting will be set for participants to have no video unless you want to.

Paige Bellenbaum
, LMSW, is the Founding Director and Chief External Relations Officer at
The Motherhood Center of New York
. After her first child was born, Paige suffered from severe postpartum depression that nearly ended her life. Once she began to heal, she became committed to fighting for education, screening and treatment for postpartum depression so that no more women would have to suffer silently. She drafted legislation in New York State that was championed by State Senator Liz Krueger, mandating hospitals to provide education on PMADs and strongly encouraging screening of all new and expecting mothers that was signed into law in 2014. Since then, Paige has been an outspoken advocate on the issue of postpartum depression and uses her own story as a tool for change. She has appeared on the
