March Meetup : Intellectual Property Q&A with Brenda Flockart

Our next PSP-Tech Meetup will feature a Q&A on Startup Legal : Intellectual Property by PSP member Brenda Flockart.

Brenda Flockhart-Shanks, Esq. is a technical intellectual property attorney with over a decade of experience focusing on obtaining and enforcing patent rights and assists companies with their overall intellectual property strategy. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Brenda was a systems engineer and has an electrical engineering background.

We will be covering the following IP topics, most common for startups:

- what types of IP rights exist
- criteria for obtaining IP rights
- how to talk to others about your technology without loosing IP rights
- getting comfortable that you have freedom to operate
- situating your IP for investors.

Members will get to mingle and meet before and after the Q&A.
